Re: A band of Appaloosa mares come
I know. My friend has a mare named Quincy Tinker Toy, an they call her Tinker. Poor Tinker. She's a big, fat, poorly conformationed solid paint with sad watery eyes. And she never stops eating. The poor thing is rejected by all the other horses already and they give her a name like Tinker. She must be like one of those people who eat when they feel sad, to make themseleves feel better. The ones who are rejected for some reason, then they eat to try to make it go away, then they get fat and are rejected even more. I feel so bad for them. And Tinker's name sounds like Tinkle.

Re: A band of Appaloosa mares come
i got a 25 yr old quarter X arab called Taj (short for Taj Mahal) and a nearly 2 yr old colt (un gelded) that WAS called lucky cause he was wormy, 13 hands in stead of 15 at his age and breed is thoroughbred X stock horse ( i call taj a quarab and the little fella a stockbred) and you could count every rib in his body and was sad then they had the nerve to call him Lucky. when i was given him (he was free) i changed his name to bandit. his FULL name is Lucky's Little Bandit. since ive had him hes grown to his height of about 14 1/2 hands more to grow, fattened up and had one cancer taken off his shoulder and has another on hims rump.

Thats wonderful! About how you rescued him. I love it when people rescue horses. They're not like dogs or cats, they rake more time, money, and they take longer to gain trust. And it is so relieving to here you changed his name. Animals named lucky are not usually lucky. Bandit seems like a much more proper name, especially for a stallion. Lucky sounds too much like an elderly golden retriever if you ask me.

Re: A band of Appaloosa mares come
he busted his way into the full oat bin and must of bumped the lid in his haste to get his head in it and the wooden box lid fell shut so hes a theif: bandit lol
Re: A band of Appaloosa mares come
Thats so funny! My friends horse tries to do that! Not Tinker but I'm sure she would. Rio gets to run around cuz we can lock everything up so he cant go anywhere. and he's 26 so that might just have somethind to do with it.
