Ok i know i havent been online much a bit happening atm like
I RODE MY COLT FOR THE FIRST TIME. he went really good bare back (with a saddle pad lol) but not saddling him for a few months yet. I had him standing next to my partner who held the bridle and he was next to the table and i climbed on slowly and quietly off the picnic table. He walked with my partner leading for about 10 minutes. then i tried to make a great quiet dismount and of course slipped sideways and slid down his shoulder/side and guess what....he didnt even flinch.


Anyways ill try getting online a bit more lol

its called tlc and patience. He knows his bounderys and he knows i wouldnt hurt him. he trusts me and i trust him everyone told me he would throw me and id fall and i said "Npt a chance, i trust him"

well you need to have a trusting relationship between your horse and your self, what will happen one day if he cant trust me and i cant trust him and something happend when we are riding eg: if he sees a snake and spooks horses naturally want to FLEE he needs to be able to trust me, and that i wouldnt let him get hurt so I dont get thrown in his spook to flee or a good example: riding my 25 yr old horse several months ago a bus came down the hill behind us and the driver slowed down but his breaks squeeled and taj freeked, he just lurched and i got him undercontrol and started circling him (to the poiunt the driver brought the WHOLE bus to an even more squeeling loud stop and taj was wretching at the bit. i jerked his bit to get some attention back on me and i said in a low voice
"KNOCK IT OFF" and he settled i patted him and he stopped and then i pointed him into an open drive way and let the bus pass he trotted meekly on our way
